Parkinson’s Disease, the progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement, has an incidence rate in the general population for about 1 to 2 out of 1,000 people. However, the disease is much more prevalent in older people with approximately 18 out of 1,000 over age 65 affected.  Moreover, there is a study published that posits that those numbers may be much higher.1,2
