Dr. Richard DiMarchi was honored for his discovery of Humalog, a synthetic analog of the human hormone insulin for the treatment of diabetes. His discoveries are absolutely life-changing and have positively impacted literally millions, even including members and friends of my own family. This most recent well-deserved recognition comes by receiving one of the highest awards in health and medicine, which follows his being elected to the U.S. Patent Office's Inventors Hall of Fame just last year.
Just last month, Dr. DiMarchi gave the welcome address to the Peptide Therapeutics Symposium, and has been the chair of that foundation since 2008.
Congratulations to real drug-discovery legend!
