New pNA Substrates for Elastase
Now Available from Peptides International

Synthetic enzyme substrates are generally divided into chromogenic and fluorogenic substrates.  With chromogenic compounds, such as pNA-containing peptide substrates,  rates of hydrolysis upon cleavage are measured in continuous or stopped assays in a spectrophotometer.  Rates of hydrolysis of fluorogenic compounds, such as MCA substrates, are measured in continuous or stopped assays in a spectrofluorometer.

These substrates for elastase are now available from Peptides International. For a listing of related substrates please visit our pNA substrate link.
