Storage Conditions
Generally, complex peptides and antisera should be kept dry and frozen to prevent unnecessary deterioration, but they are stable even at ambient temperature for several days. Almost all biologically active peptides are readily soluble in water or any suitable buffer solution. Stability of peptides in solution is relatively low even at temperatures lower than -20 °C. Therefore, a peptide solution once prepared should be used as soon as possible. If the solution must be stored overnight, it should be kept in a freezer at temperatures lower than -20 °C. In case of prolonged storage, homogeneity of the peptide in the solution should be reconfirmed prior to use.
